Mac MacDonald (Lenoir-Rhyne, 1969) was a four-year starter at right tackle for the Lenoir-Rhyne Football Team.  MacDonald was part of four Carolinas Conference Championship Teams and earned all-league and all-state honors in 1968.  MacDonald, who was also named an NAIA honorable mention All-American as a senior, helped anchor an offensive unit in 1967 and 1968 that averaged over 39 points per game and combined to finish with a 15-3 record.  MacDonald coached at Statesville (N.C.) (1969-71) and Brookland Cayce (S.C.) (1971-73) High Schools and has worked at several real estate firms and development companies after graduation.  MacDonald is currently self-employed.  MacDonald and his wife, Liz, have two sons, Trae and Whit, both firefighters on the West Coast.  The couple also has five grandchildren.
