Tony M. McClamrock (Lenoir-Rhyne, 1962) played football for Lenoir-Rhyne from 1958 to 1961.  During that span, L-R compiled a 38-3-2 record and won the 1960 NAIA National Championship.  The Bears also won four conference titles and played in two national title contests.  McClamrock was an instrumental player for the Bears on offense and was the team’s leading passer during the 1960 season with 594 yards.  He also threw the game-tying touchdown against Northern Michigan in the 1960 NAIA Eastern Playoff Game (the Bears advanced due to more total yards en route to the national championship).  An outstanding all-around athlete, McClamrock also ran track and field for three years at Lenoir-Rhyne.  After graduation, McClamrock coached football, track and field and wrestling for six years (1962-68) at Statesville (N.C.) High School.  For over two decades, he has headed up McClamrock Business Forms in Raleigh, N.C.  McClamrock and his wife, Becky, are the proud parents of two children:  Todd and Kellee.
