Allan LaTorre was a four-year letterman in football from 1955-1959 and in track and field for two seasons (1956-57). Â While a member of the football team, Lenoir-Rhyne won four North State Conference Champions. Â He was named the team's outstanding freshman and was named to the all-conference team as a center during his sophomore year. Â He received the prestigious Lee Kirby Team Before Self Award (now the Cromer Award) as a senior. Â The Charleston, S.C., native served as vice president and president of the student body at Lenoir-Rhyne and was voted best all-around as a senior. Â LaTorre graduated with a degree in social studies and physical education in 1959. Â
